After a challenging Winter, it’s important to look after our mind as well as our body. Follow our latest tips on how to go into the new season feeling positive and healthy.
Wake up each morning with one positive thought
Practicing regular gratitude is a great way to slowly change our mind set, one day at a time. Waking up and thinking of something positive that you’re grateful for, (whether it’s big or small is) will help to get your day off to a good start.
Enjoy a healthy breakfast
Breakfast is considered the most important meal of the day, so as much as it’s tempting to skip it and have those extra minutes in bed, it’s vital for our concentration and mood throughout the day.
Take a 15-30 min walk each morning
Starting the day with light exercise and fresh air is the perfect combination, as it helps us to feel ready to take on the day, feel motivated and raises endorphin levels.
Praise yourself for accomplishing small tasks
After a tough year, we need to learn to be less harsh on ourselves. Instead of piling the pressure on yourself, take one task at a time if you’re feeling unmotivated and give yourself praise for completing those put-off tasks. One step at a time.
Reduce time spent using technology
We all love scrolling through social media whenever we have the chance, but stepping back and spending less time on our phones is great for our mental health and allows us more time to enjoy other activities & be more productive.
